Coming into this weekend's Overwatch League action London Spitfire, New York Excelsior and Seoul Dynasty all sat pretty at the top of proceedings with a 4-0 record.

There are now no more unbeaten runs intact as each of the aforementioned squads dropped a match in a weekend where there was plenty of surprises.

The London Spitfire kicked off the weekend versus the San Francisco Shock and made short work of their opponent.

Again, Horizon Lunar Colony looked too easy for the Spitfire before they headed to Oasis. Spitfire are impressively yet to win a map of Oasis and that trend continued as the Shock took their only map on the way to a 3-1 Spitfire match victory.

Spitfire's second game of the weekend was against the Boston Uprising, a team that many expected Spitfire would breeze past. Spitfire got off to the best possible start, winning Numbani before losing both Anubis and Ilios to be one map away from defeat.

They were resurgent again on Junkertown before again failing to show their prowess on a control point map and losing the tie-breaker Lijiang.

After the Spitfire's defeat, both the Excelsior and Dynasty remained unbeaten. In the game straight after Spitfire, Excelsior joined London in an unexpected defeat. They fell to the hands of the Fusion with the Philadelphia squad prevailing on Anubis, Dorado and Lijiang.

The headline match of the weekend was Seoul Dynasty versus the New York Excelsior. The Dynasty at the time were the only one with a 100 per cent record in the league. The game was billed to be the best Overwatch of the tournament thus far, and so it transpired.

Each map was extremely close, and when New York Excelsior restricted Seoul to just one point on Junkertown in map four, many thought it was game over.

However, the Dynasty showed just how good they are. They managed to prevent the Excelsior from even reaching the first objective - taking the game into a decider. Insane Zenyatta and Tracer play on Lijiang would be too much for Dynasty to handle, however. Epic back and forth ensued but ultimately the Excelsior came out victorious.
