Pedigree shatters Punjabi Warrior's title charge

Triple H successfully defended his WWE Championship with a powerful victory over The Great Khali at Sumer Slam. In a match-up of pure power it was once again the trusty Pedigree which ended the contest and ensured the King of Kings prolonged his reign at the top. Despite recent fracas on SmackDown, it was the first time the pair had gone head-to-head in the squared circle, and what a stage to do so. At the Biggest Blockbuster of the summer, the match hung in the balance as both men gave their all in an attempt to strike gold. As Khali locked The Game in the brutal Vise Grip and unleashed a vicious Khali chop, it looked as if the seven-foot, three-inch, 420-pound monster could be on his way to one of the greatest upsets of all. However, the King of King's hasn't won 12 world title's by pure luck, and he battled back into the contest before planting the Pedigree and sealing a hard-fought win.
