Russian rage on SmackDown

Vladimir Kozlov continued his trail of destruction on SmackDown with unprovoked attacks on Triple H and Jeff Hardy.

Last Updated: 20/09/08 1:18pm

The Moscow Mauler, Vladimir Kozlov continued his trail of destruction on SmackDown with unprovoked attacks on Triple H and Jeff Hardy.

After demanding better competition in recent weeks, the Russian man mountain may be on the receiving end of a backlash after his latest assaults.

No.1 Contender for the WWE title at No Mercy, Jeff Hardy, was in action in the early stages of SmackDown against The Brian Kendrick.

The Legend Killer managed to overcome the ringside distraction of Ezekiel Jackson to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in a thrilling match-up.

However, just as Hardy began his celebrations on the ramp, his joy was brought to an abrupt halt by a jaw-breaking boot from Kozlov for the second week in a row.

Later in the evening, WWE Champion Triple H powered past Montel Vontavious Porter in a hard fought non-title match.

No sooner had The King of Kings delivered the match-winning Pedigree had Kozlov emerged unannounced to attack the champion in the ring.

All eyes turn to next week's SmackDown as both Hardy and Triple H go in search of some answers.
