Chris Jericho was left seething on RAW as Batista added his name to the list of special guest referees who just couldn't help but get involved.
In the latest bout of Monday night RAW action, 'The Animal' was placed in charge of the night's showpiece as CM Punk and the World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho went head-to-head in a non-title match-up.
Batista, scheduled to meet Jericho for the title at Cyber Sunday, was always going to play a significant part in the clash and so it proved.
In an otherwise fair and hard-fought match-up, the champ and the Straightedge Superstar went blow-for-blow until Jericho finally became frustrated with Batista's slow counts.
Pointing to his ref's jersey in defense of his actions, Batista then delivered the knockout blow as he planted a shattering 'Batista Bomb' on Jericho in the centre of the ring.
The three-count followed and all eyes now turn to Cyber Sunday as Jericho goes in search of revenge.
