Jericho wins Last Man Standing clash, with help from JBL
Chris Jericho overcame another gruelling battle with rival Shawn Michaels to record a Last Man Standing victory in Manchester on RAW.
As part of WWE's tour of the United Kingdom, Monday Night RAW appeared in Manchester, England, before a sold-out crowd, and the specators weren't disappointed.
Mike Adamle's resignation saw Stephanie McMahon step in as general manager and announce another match-up between fierce rivals Jericho and Michaels.
A non-title match it may have been, however the intensity and desire to win from both men showed how much the encounter meant to the athletes.
The bout was designed to put an end to the long-running, extremely personal rivalry between Jericho and HBK, and the ring warriors gave their all in front of the vociferous Manchester crowd.
Once again, Jericho was up to his old tricks, bending the rules to breaking point before interference from JBL proved decisive.
Though HBK gave Jericho a dose of Sweet Chin music, The Showstopper was subsequently the victim of a steel chair shot from JBL, allowing the World Heavyweight Champion to pull himself to his feet for the win.
