Daniel Albrecht returned to winning ways in Sunday's Alpine ski World Cup giant slalom race in Alta Badia.
He became the first Swiss in 10 years to win in the Italian resort, clocking a two-leg time of two minutes 32.71 seconds.
It was a welcome return to form for the 25-year-old, who won the season's opening giant slalom in Soelden in October but has struggled since, finishing in no better than eighth place in subsequent races.
Croatian Ivica Kostelic skied a superb second leg to grab second place, 0.12 seconds behind, while Austrian giant slalom specialist Hannes Reichelt came third, 0.33 seconds behind.
Race cancelled
Meanwhile, the women's World Cup downhill race in St Moritz on Sunday was called off because of strong winds on the Corviglia piste.
The twice postponed race became the second women's downhill to be rescheduled this season, although organisers have yet to confirm where and when it will be transferred to.
The downhill cancelled in Lake Louise earlier this month has been moved to Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, on 23rd January.
