Jon McClure and Andy Nicholson from Mongrel told Soccer AM about their new supergroup.
Jon McClure and Andy Nicholson dropped into the Soccer AM studios to talk about their new supergroup, Mongrel. The band formed in 2008 and is comprised of former Arctic Monkey's bassist Nicholson, McClure of Reverend and the Makers, Babyshambles bassist Drew McConnell and Matt Helders from Arctic Monkeys, as well as a host of different rappers. Mongrel have just released tour dates, with their debut album scheduled to come out next month and it has even been rumoured that they are already planning another album with Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez! Naturally, Helen and Max had lots of questions for them, including... How did the band come together? Where does there sound come from? ...And how do you get a meeting with the president of Venezuela!?
