Pack mentality from Orton, DiBiase and Rhodes leaves Triple H prone

Randy Orton stepped up his war with WWE champion Triple H on a night fuelled by tension and violence at the Mohegan Sun Arena, Friday. The 13-time world champion first overcame Umaga in a non-title match before being set upon by The Legend Killer and his Legacy team-mates Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes. Despite his brave attempts to stave off the vicious pack, The King of Kings was left feeling the full force of his enemy with four vicious kicks to the head that must surely have him ruing the scale of the challenge he now faces at Wrestlemania XXV. In other championship action, John Cena interrupted the world heavyweight championship match signing between current belt holder Edge and Big Show. The timely intrusion means the bout between The Rated-R Superstar and The World's Largest Athlete has yet to be officially rubber-stamped so there is still hope for Cena. Montel Vontavious Porter and United States Champion Shelton Benjamin booked their places in the Money in the Bank Ladder bout at 'Mania, meanwhile, with their respective wins over the Hardy brothers. Matt earned Jeff a disqualification defeat in his match with The Gold Standard as the sibling rivalry continues to grow. Undertaker also accepted Shawn Michaels' Wrestlemania challenge as the Phenom prepares to put his undefeated streak on the line for a 17th time. And finally, divas champion Maryse beat Eve, but it was Michelle McCool who came out on top after women's champion Melina had attacked the former.
