WWE superstar vows to 'Mic Check' SmackDown rival

Mr Kennedy has vented his frustration to skysports.com after injury has ruled the WWE superstar out of WrestleMania XXV on April 5. The outspoken SmackDown superstar has failed to shrug off a shoulder injury in time for a return to the Grandest Stage Of Them All, which is again shown live on Sky Box Office. Not shy of a word or two, the Green Bay athlete has spoken exclusively to skysports.com of his determination to shut rival MVP up once and for all. After a recent visit to England, Montel Vontavious Porter added fuel to the raging fire of hatred between the pair by claiming that Mr Kennedy was feigning injuries and running scared of a one-on-one match-up. And, when asked what his response was, a dismissive Mr K replied: "I've never heard of that guy, I don't know who you are talking about.

Frustrating

"I am not going to waste my breath on someone who has one of the longest losing streaks in the WWE and I am not going to take anything that he says about me." The 6ft 2inch, 235 pound heavyweight is currently recovering from a shoulder problem which he initially picked up against Shelton Benjamin on SmackDown. However, Mr Kennedy is hopeful he will be fit for action when the WrestleMania Revenge tour arrives in the UK in April. "I was hoping to be cleared from injury to be involved in WrestleMania but I am not over this shoulder tear so it is frustrating not to be involved," he said. "It is like going to the Super Bowl and being able to wear a ring but not actually being able to take part. "I am really upset but hopefully I'll be fit for when we are back touring the UK in April." The injury is even more frustrating for Mr Kennedy as it prevents him from challenging MVP to what would be a classic match-up on the 25th anniversary of WrestleMania in Houston, Texas. "I would like to be fighting MVP just because of all the trash talk and the stuff that he has said over the last couple of months. "You don't know how many people I've talked to and it always comes up 'MVP is talking trash' - I would really like to shut him up with a Mic Check (finishing move)."
Amazing
Speaking on his other WWE rivals, he said: "I always say anybody that has gold around their waist is targeted. "The ultimate goal in this business is to win championships and titles so any title holder in my mind is a target." Mr Kennedy joined the WWE in 2005 after previous careers as a personal trainer and a member of the United States Army. Since arriving on the scene, the 33-year-old has enjoyed stints on both SmackDown and Raw, building up a fierce reputation across the WWE as a no-nonsense loud mouth. HBK Shawn Michaels v The Undertaker is undoubtedly the going to be one of the picks of the latest WrestleMania card, but Mr Kennedy believes that match will do well to compete with two of his all-time favourite WM showdowns. "I have two favourite WrestleMania matches of all time," he said. "The first was between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XIV. "That was the first WrestleMania I had ever watched in my life and it was just an amazing match with some great story telling. "The fact that Shawn Michaels performed a match that afterwards most people wouldn't have been able to get up in the morning - he put on one of the greatest all-time career performances. "My other favourite was at Wrestlemania XX, the main event Triple Threat match between Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit. "I remember that match was amazing, a great story and a great, great match." World Wrestling Entertainment's WrestleMania XXV will be shown live on Sky Box Office channel 743 and Sky Box Office HD channel 753 at midnight (Monday morning) on Sunday April 5.
