Viper to defend title against Triple H on Sunday
Vince McMahon stole the limelight on RAW by firing Donald Trump and then informing WWE champion Randy Orton that he must defend his title against Triple H at The Bash.
The Viper may have thought he had seen the last of The Game after their Last Man Standing Match ended in a draw earlier in the night, however the pair will square off once again this Sunday after McMahon arranged a Three Stages of Hell Match.
The bout will include a regular match, a Falls Count Anywhere Match and, if required, a Stretcher Match to decide the destination of the belt.
The other headline match-up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, saw
Big Show and
John Cena renew their burning rivalry before an interference from
The Miz handed the World's Largest Athlete the win.
Cena's revenge mission may have been undermined, however the former WWE champion will face the self-proclaimed "future world champion" at The Bash.
Fired
Jeff Hardy,
Rey Mysterio &
The Great Khali teamed up to defeat
Edge, Intercontinental champion
Chris Jericho &
Dolph Ziggler in an entertaining three-on-three match-up.
However the biggest talking point came after The Charismatic Enigma pinned Ziggler to secure the win for his team. As Jeff Hardy celebrated in the ring, World Heavyweight champion and Bash opponent
CM Punk, climbed into the squared ring and raised his hand in victory.
The Legend Thriller was far from happy with the gesture and remains focused on revenge this Sunday after Punk cashed in his Money in the Bank contract against him at Extreme Rules.
RAW changed hands as well on Monday night as
Vince McMahon finally lost patience with the way
Donald Trump was running the corporation.
Vince offered to buy back RAW - at twice the price, and, never one to turn down a good deal, Trump accepted and was then promptly fired by the new chairman.
Trump's last contribution was making a firing of his own - Santino Marella's twin sister
Santina.
