Swiss miss sidelined after training mishap
Swiss skier Lara Gut will miss the start of the season after suffering a dislocated hip during training.
The 18-year-old, who won silver medals in the downhill and super-combined at the World Championships earlier this year, had to be taken by helicopter from the Saas-Fee piste.
Doctors reset her hip at a hospital in Viege before she was transferred to see a specialist in Bern.
Gut is expected to be out of action for at least a month, meaning she will miss the World Cup opener at Soelden, Austria on October 24.
