Burton wins Race to 10k!

Andy Burton beats Darren Bent and our very own Max to 10 thousand Twitter followers!

Bent and Rushden donate to the Lily Foundation

If you've been following the show recently you will know that Darren Bent, Max and Sky Sports News reporter Andy Burton have been in a Twitter race! All in the name of charity, the boys went up against each other to see who could get 10,000 followers first. For the last three weeks they've been doing their best to rack up as many...erm... twits as possible, and by whatever means necessary! Andy in particular was happy to put the hard sale on and it looks like it worked because on Saturday he reached the landmark ahead of both Max and Darren. Despite lagging behind for much of the race, Sky Sports News' top man stormed into the lead by appealing to celebrities like Jonathan Ross and Stephen Fry, many of whom were happy to follow him for just long enough to reach the magic number. Sunderland hot-shot Darren has in fact now gone ahead of Andy with over 11,000 followers, but it was always about who could get to 10k first. It means of course that the Lily Foundation - the boys' charity of choice - will be getting a lot of money as both Max and more importantly Darren give up a day's wages.
