This Sunday night at 1am on Sky Box Office the wait is finally over for the 23rd annual WWE Survivor Series.
Ahead of the pay-per-view extravaganza, skysports.com got the views of James Coyle on who he thinks will be leaving the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C victorious.
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
John Cena vs Triple H vs Shawn Michaels
Current WWE champion John Cena delivered a memorable performance against Randy Orton last month at WWE Bragging Rights in a gruelling sixty minute Iron Man match. The Champ now goes on to face not one but two opponents in the shape of Triple H and Shawn Michaels of D-Generation X. The odds are most certainly against the champion retaining but will The Game and The Heartbreak Kid work together to defeat Cena, or will each DX superstar focus on their individual goals to acquire the WWE championship? Remember, Cena doesn't have to be pinned to lose the championship, but even with that being said, I think Cena will retain his title here with Triple H and Michaels turning on one another.
My Prediction: John Cena
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
The Undertaker vs Chris Jericho vs The Big Show
Chris Jericho and The Big Show are currently the Unified Tag Team champions, but can either of them go one better and capture the World Heavyweight Championship from The Undertaker? Both men have enjoyed recent success against a formidable list of opponents and find themselves in a similar position to that of D-Generation X. Will the tag champs turn on one another or can they work in tandem to destroy The Deadman, and bring home the World Title to where they believe it rightfully belongs? The odds are against The Undertaker retaining, but that was also the case at WWE Bragging Rights where The Deadman came out on top in a blockbuster Fatal Four Way encounter. I am a huge fan of Jericho but I have to go against him here considering The Deadman's recent success at Bragging Rights.
My Prediction: The Undertaker
Batista vs Rey Mysterio
At Survivor Series this Sunday, two former World Champions, who were once as close as brothers, will become the most dangerous of adversaries. To recap, last month at WWE Bragging Rights both Mysterio and Batista gave everything they had in a Fatal Four Way match where every man had no choice but to fight for themselves, and when Mysterio stopped The Animal from claiming victory over The Deadman, Batista became enraged. Seconds after The Deadman secured victory, Batista suddenly snapped, and attacked Mysterio which has ultimately led to this match taking place between the two who were once friends, but now bitter rivals.
My Prediction: Batista
TRADITIONAL SURVIVOR SERIES ELIMINATION MATCHES
Three high profile Survivor Series Elimination matches will take place this Sunday involving a number of WWE superstars.
TEAM KINGSTON vs TEAM ORTON
Team Kingston, comprising of ECW champion Christian, MVP, The World's Strongest Man Mark Henry and R-Truth will face Team Orton, who has acquired a fighting unit in the form of Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, CM Punk and Englishman William Regal. Rivalries are aplenty here that's for sure but just who will be the last man standing in the ring?
My Prediction: Team Orton/Randy Orton to be the final survivor
TEAM MORRISON vs TEAM MIZ
Former friends John Morrison and The Miz will settle the score as captains of their respective teams also in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match. Morrison's squad consists of Matt Hardy, Evan Bourne, Shelton Benjamin and Finlay. While Miz will command Scotsman Drew McIntyre, Irishman Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger. At WWE Bragging Rights, The Miz recorded a huge victory over The Friday Night Delight, but this time around will Morrison have the last laugh?
My Prediction: Team Miz/Sheamus to be the final survivor
TEAM MICKIE vs TEAM MICHELLE
At Survivor Series, the smart, sexy, and powerful Divas of WWE will mix it up in a Divas Traditional Survivor Series Tag Team Elimination Match, captained on one side by Women's champion Michelle McCool and on the other by Mickie James. Mickie will lead her team, consisting of Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly, Divas Champion Melina and Gail Kim. Meanwhile Michelle will captain Jillian Hall, Beth Phoenix, Layla and Alicia Fox.
My Prediction: Team Mickie/Mickie James to be the final survivor
