Michaels delivers a deadly dose of SCM on the Phenom

This week on SmackDown, The Undertaker faced current Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre in the main event. The Deadman warmed up for his much anticipated WrestleMania rematch with Shawn Michaels by defeating McIntyre in a matter of minutes, courtesy of a devastating choke slam quickly followed by the Tombstone. Having sent a message to the man who looks to end his undefeated streak, The Phenom then looked to exit the arena but was met by Michaels at the top of the ramp who attempted to execute Sweet Chin Music. Undertaker avoided Michaels' initial attempts at the Super Kick, looking to counter with the Tombstone, but The Heartbreak Kid reversed the manoeuvre, to hit Sweet Chin Music on his WrestleMania foe to end the show. Also on SmackDown, Edge played host, as he welcomed World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho to "The Cutting Edge."

Momentum

Jericho came to the ring with his NXT Rookie Wade Barrett. After a war of words, Edge struck Jericho and eliminated him from the ring. The Rated-R Superstar then delivered an earth-shattering Spear to Barrett. But then, as this year's Royal Rumble winner looked to have squashed his rivals, Jericho surprised Edge, entering the ring once more to nail his signature Codebreaker manoeuvre. The World Heavyweight Champion then taunted Edge, whispering "spear" into the mic whilst gleefully standing over his WrestleMania opponent with the title belt. The Master of the 6-1-9 Rey Mysterio addressed CM Punk's challenge of a WrestleMania match, insisting the two should compete in a Street Fight Match on The Grandest Stage Of Them All. However, Punk would not agree to such a stipulation unless The Ultimate Underdog defeated Luke Gallows later in the night. When the match finally got underway, Mysterio looked to be on the verge of victory until Punk distracted the referee whilst Serena knocked Rey off the ropes, which led to Gallows picking up the victory. Mysterio must now join the Straight Edge Society at WrestleMania after losing to Gallows, but after the interference, do not be surprised if SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long has something to say regarding what happened next week. Friday Night Delight John Morrison and R-Truth overcame a stern test in the form of The Hart Dynasty. The pair, who are set to challenge Big Show and Miz at WrestleMania for the Unified Tag Team Championships, recorded a momentum boosting victory after Truth executed the Corkscrew Cross Body on Tyson Kidd to score the pinfall. Four of this year's WrestleMania Money In The Bank Match participants squared off in tag team action as Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger defeated Matt Hardy and MVP.
NXT
In Divas tag team action, The Glamazon Beth Phoenix and Tiffany defeated Women's Champion Michelle McCool and Layla. After the match, Vickie Guerrero demanded an apology from Phoenix after The Glamazon had laid out SmackDown's Official Consultant with a powerful clothesline last week. Phoenix duly apologised for attacking the WWE figure of authority, but looking for retribution, Vickie then announced she would face Phoenix in a match next week on SmackDown. Rookie Wade Barrett, accompanied by his Pro, World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho, defeated fellow Rookie Skip Sheffield on this week's installment of WWE NXT.
