Win moves Loughborough off the bottom of the table
Loughborough Lightning have climbed off the bottom of the Co-operative Netball Superleague after they topple Team Northumbria 49-34.
Katy Rose, Sarah-Jane O'Sullivan and Jo Harten were all in inspirational form as Loughborough recorded only their second win of a difficult season.
Having led 14-7 after the first quarter, Lightning ensured there would be no come back from the visitors as Harten and James did not miss a shot.
Team Northumbria kept plugging away, but they could do little to turn the tide against the free-scoring home side.
Lightning head coach Olivia Murphy said: "This was a confidence boosting performance with the girls starting to work really well as a team."
