Sharp-shooter arrives in Nottingham

Nottingham Panthers have added to their roster with the signing of former Elite League top goalscorer David Alexandre Beauregard. The former Manchester Phoenix marksman rejected a move to the National Ice Arena at the start of last season in favour of an offer in Italy. However, Panthers coach Corey Neilson has got his man this time around ahead of the expanded 2010-11 Elite League campaign. Beauregard bagged 44 goals 35 assists on his way to scooping a host of awards including Elite League Player of the Season in 2008-2009. And Neilson admitted: "This is a real coup for us, I have admired David for many seasons and it is a mouth-watering prospect to have him in our line-up for next season. "He knows all about our high ambitions and he wants to be a part of it. Beauregard added: "I was close to joining Nottingham last summer, it is a great organisation and they set the bar high. "That's fine with me, I'm thrilled to have signed for the club and can't wait to get started."
