Mysterio attacked in Over the Limit preview battle
This week's edition of SmackDown featured an Over The Limit preview as Rey Mysterio squared off against CM Punk.
The Biggest Little Man is set to face the leader of the Straight Edge Society next Sunday on pay-per-view, and ahead of that showdown, the two rivals squared off against one another in SmackDown's main event.
Victory looked inevitable for Rey, but the mystery masked man, who has yet to be revealed, once again returned, to attack the 6-1-9 superstar from behind. Mysterio then suffered a brutal Gallows Pole capped off with a devastating Go to Sleep from Punk.
CM Punk may have gained the momentum before their impending S.E.S. Pledge vs. Hair Match, but will Rey find himself forced to stand side-by-side with Luke Gallows, Serena and CM Punk next week?

Swagger
Jack Swagger relived his glory days surrounded by his many trophies, achievements and memorabilia, all of which had been brought to the ring for all the world to see.
Soon enough, Big Show also grew weary of hearing the self-obsessed champion and joined him in the ring. But when Swagger attempted to attack The World's Largest Athlete, he was ousted from the ring.
Big Show then went on the war path, smashing all of Swagger's precious possessions. After the dust settled, Big Show held Swagger's title high, whilst the angry champion looked on from outside of the ring.
Elsewhere, Kofi Kingston defeated Christian to become the new Intercontinental Champion. But there was no time for celebration as former Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre made a shock return.
The Scotsman, who had been fired the week before by General Manager Theodore Long, returned with a signed letter from company chairman Vince McMahon, who insisted that Drew should be reinstated as champion.
After reading the letter, the GM requested Kofi to return the coveted title to him. After much hesitation, Kofi reluctantly complied with the GM, who then handed over the title to McIntyre. The "former" champion appeared to become the new champion.
Later in the night, Long asserted his own authority and informed McIntyre that he would face The World's Largest Athlete next week on SmackDown!
Finally, the Women's Championship switched hands in a scheduled 2-on-1 handicap match that had been organised by RAW's latest GM, Vickie Guerrero. Layla of Team Lay-Cool pinned Beth Phoenix to become the new Women's Champion.
Intercontinental Championship Match - Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston
After defeating Christian this past week on SmackDown, Kofi Kingston was elated at winning the prestigious Intercontinental title for the second time in his career.
The celebration however was short-lived, as fired Superstar and ex-champion Drew McIntyre returned with a letter signed by company chairman Mr. McMahon.
The contents of which prompted General Manager Long to order Kingston to hand over the title. Kingston complied, and Long then begrudgingly gave the title to McIntyre.
Kofi now has to once again prove that he has what it takes to become the new Intercontinental Champion. This should be a great match and I'm delighted to see this one added to the card.
In all honesty, I think McIntyre has the edge here and will go on to prove that he is indeed the future of the WWE.
Prediction: Drew McIntyre
Divas Championship Match - Eve Torres vs. Maryse
In Divas action, former Champion Maryse will face reigning champion Eve Torres in the hope of recapturing the butterfly title at Over the Limit.
The fans are without doubt the winners here having the opportunity to see these two beautiful divas battle it out against one another on Sunday Night. I'm siding with Maryse to pick up the all important victory.
Prediction: Maryse
Ted DiBiase vs. R-Truth
In another late addition to the card, Ted DiBiase along with his dad's former enforcer Virgil in his corner, will square off against fan favourite R-Truth.
With the original Virgil in his corner, I believe The Million Dollar Son will prevail here but it won't be easy.
Prediction: Ted DiBiase
