Sheamus and Edge suffer tag team defeat

This week on RAW, Evan Bourne scored with a Shooting Star Press to propel he and his partner, John Cena, to victory over Sheamus and Edge. The Ultimate Opportunist thought he had outsmarted his tag team opponents, WWE Champion John Cena and Randy Orton earlier in the night, by striking The Viper's shoulder in an ambush prior to the match. But The Champ was not about to forfeit, and chose Evan Bourne to team with him against bitter rivals Edge and Sheamus. Although not an anticipated selection, Bourne's athleticism and high-flying craft make him an unpredictable opponent. Once in the match, Bourne showed his never back down attitude, kicking out of several near pinfalls. When Bourne was able to connect with his partner for the tag, The Champ rushed in and firmly set his sights on Irishman Sheamus. After a powerful back and forth, Cena tossed Sheamus from atop his shoulders and tagged in "Air" Bourne, who landed a devastating Shooting Star Press and covered the Irishman for the victory.

Congratulate

After turning down a financial offer from Ted DiBiase, new General Manager Bret Hart refused to relinquish the reins of power for next week's RAW. Instead, next week Bret will allow the WWE fans to voice their opinions online by choosing the matches, stipulations and opponents they want to see compete during the first-ever, three-hour Raw Viewer's Choice Night. The announcement led to long-time nemesis, Mr. McMahon, making his first appearance on television since WrestleMania to congratulate Hart on his new role and to offer his support for the idea. Although McMahon appeared genuine with his sentiments, there was no doubt the chairman of the WWE looks set to put a plan into action, perhaps to screw Bret just one more time. Next Monday, the cast of new movie The A-Team will guest host what looks set to be a very exciting night in of wrestling action. RAW will indeed be subject to a Viewer's Choice Night, meaning fans all over the world can log onto WWE's website to choose the matches, stipulations and opponents they want to see compete during the special three-hour event, that will feature Superstars from both RAW and SmackDown. Do not miss it! Catch all the action next Monday Night, as RAW comes your way LIVE and exclusively on Sky Sports HD3 from 1am.
