The new Intercontinental Champion is one of eight professionals taking charge of the brand new rookies in WWE NXT season two. Kofi Kingston, who defeated Drew McIntyre at the recent Over The Limit pay-per-view for the Intercontinental Championship, is mentoring Mike McGillicutty. McGillicutty is the son of WWE Hall of Famer, Curt Henning, and has been in the WWE Developmental territory since 2008 - holding the Florida Championship Wrestling Heavyweight title once. The Miz will be returning for the second season running, with his rookie, Alex Riley seemingly as egotistical and arrogant as his Pro. Riley is the current FCW Heavyweight Champion and will be looking for strong leadership from his 'awesome' mentor.

Carnage

The surprise Pros in the new season are team "LayCool", the co-Women's Champions Michelle McCool and Layla and the first Divas on NXT. Their rookie is Kaval, who seems to have already found himself a high-profile fan in WWE Champion John Cena who, via his Twitter account said: "Keep an eye on Kaval. I see something there." The "Shaman of Sexy" John Morrison appears to have his hands full with the task of getting the best out of 7ft 1in giant Eli Cottonwood, who has declared his intentions to inflict "pain and carnage to all who step in my path." Second generation superstar Cody Rhodes' rookie is a third generation wrestler himself. Husky Harris is the grandson of Blackjack Mulligan and son of Mike Rotunda, the "I.R.S" man, but will Cody be able to control the 6ft 2in, 295lb livewire, Harris? "Mr 305" himself MVP mentors a fellow Florida athlete in Percy Watson, a self confessed party animal from South Beach, home to the famous Ocean Drive, in what looks like will be a very cohesive partnership. Mark Henry's rookie should think himself lucky to be tutored by the "World's Strongest Man." Lucky Cannon, a former sheriff deputy has a never say die attitude and a few interesting life stories we are sure to find out in the coming weeks on NXT. The "Long Island Loudmouth" Zack Ryder will be looking to bring out the "woo woo woo" in his rookie Titus O'Neil, an aggressive hard hitting former NCAA American Football Defensive End.
