Sky Sports will make darting history at the StanJames.com World Matchplay, with the semi-finals and final to be shown in 3D for the very first time.
Darts will become the fifth sport to be featured in 3D, with over 1,000 venues in the UK and Ireland screening coverage of the final two days from the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on July 24 and 25.
Sky Sports have already screened football, rugby union and cricket live in 3D and will also show Super League live this month alongside the ground-breaking coverage of darts.

"It's a revolution in darts TV broadcasting," said
Sky Sports commentator Sid Waddell, who has been involved with televised darts for over 30 years.
"For years I've described our coverage as resembling a rock and roll concert on your telly. Now it's going to resemble a rock and roll concert in your pub - I can't wait!!
Sky Sports' 3D coverage will accompany their regular coverage of the tournament in High Definition on
Sky Sports HD1 and Sky Sports 1.
