At Night Of Champions, Randy Orton survived the Six Pack Elimination challenge to become the new WWE champion.
WWE's Apex Predator outlasted five of Raw's most dominant Superstars with a stunning display and will now begin his seventh world title reign.
During the main event, Chris Jericho was the first to be eliminated by Orton with Edge following him out a little later courtesy of an Attitude Adjustment from Cena. With the elimination of two Superstars, only Sheamus, Cena, Barrett and Orton remained.
Since the contest stipulations included no disqualifications, The Nexus took full advantage. With their leader struggling to get the better of his fellow competitors, Justin Gabriel, David Otunga, Heath Slater and Michael Tarver disrupted proceedings, launching an attack on Cena.
Although the handy foursome proved successful in eliminating Cena from the contest, their English leader fell victim to an RKO from Orton and was also eliminated.
And so The Viper and The Celtic Warrior remained, and after kicking out of a thunderous bicycle kick, Orton struck, devastating Sheamus with a victory clinching RKO.
In a thrilling No Holds Barred Match to determine the most dominant force of the underworld, a stunning tombstone reversal by world heavyweight champion Kane laid to rest The Undertaker's hopes of regaining the world title.
Aggressive
The Brothers of Destruction were absolutely hell-bent on destroying one another in this thrilling encounter. And just when The Phenom finally looked ready to execute the tombstone, Kane reversed his brothers' finisher to drive his prey into the canvas for the victory.
Former NXT Rookie Daniel Bryan cemented his place in WWE by capturing the United States Championship against The Miz.
Even with The Miz's season two NXT Rookie Alex Riley attempting to interfere on his Pro's behalf, the Raw Superstar refused to be denied and cinched in his devastating LeBell lock hold until The Miz finally cried out in submission.
Just 48 hours after defeating The Hart Dynasty in a non-title bout on Friday Night SmackDown, the aggressive duo of Scotsman Drew McIntyre and "Dashing" Cody Rhodes defeated The Hart Dynasty and three other teams in Tag Team Turmoil Match to become the new WWE Tag Team champions.
Meanwhile, in the first match of the night, intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler defeated high-flyer Kofi Kingston to retain his title.
