Croatian suffered an eye injury in his final sparring session
Mirko 'Cro Cop' Filipovic has been cleared to fight in the main even at UFC 119 on Saturday against Frank Mir.
Croatian Cro Cop suffered an eye injury in his final sparring session in his homeland, sparking fears he may be forced to pull out.
However the 36-year-old was examined by an ophthalmologist in Indianapolis and will now be able to take part on Saturday at the Conseco Fieldhouse.
He has won his last two fights leading into the bout, stopping Anthony Perosh in the second round back in February before forcing Pat Barry to submit at UFC 115 in June.
Mir, 31, has lost two of his last three fights - including being knocked out by Shane Carwin in March - but is still the only man to have got the better of reigning UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar.
