Goldust rolled back the years with victory over 'British Brawler' - William Regal - on WWE Superstars.

Regal's dreams shattered by 'Bizarre One'

WWE Superstars was treated to a 'Shattered Dreams' Production this week as veteran Goldust rolled back the years with victory over 'British Brawler' - William Regal. The wily performer has made an eye-catching comeback since being given the responsibility of mentoring NXT rookie, Aksana. Regal dominated most of the match-up and looked to be heading for retribution after his loss to Goldust last month on Superstars. This time around however, the match main-evented the programme and both performers showed their impressive move-set acquired over many years of competition. The Blackpool native, Regal, showed too much interest in rookie Aksana for Goldust's liking and he cut him off and sent him crashing into the steel steps to send a clear warning to stay away from his fellow blonde. The submission smarts of Regal shone through as he focused the attack on the left-knee of his Monday Night RAW enemy.

Distraction

However the 'Bizarre One' showed surprising resilience and struck with the Final Cut to down his opponent and pick up an impressive victory. Superstars replayed the historic Nexus versus John Cena Gauntlet match from Monday Night RAW, hyping the match between Cena, and Nexus leader Wade Barrett inside a Hell in a Cell at the WWE pay-per-view live on SKY Box Office on 3 October. If Cena is victorious then the Nexus, the most powerful group in the WWE, must disband, but if Barrett wins then the nine-time World Champion must join the group. The other match of the evening pitted another NXT Pro, Primo against young contender JTG. The Puerto Rican star's rookie, A.J provided the perfect distraction to allow Primo to take control from the off, sending JTG flying into the ring steps. The former 'Cryme Tyme' member then responded by hitting a shoulder block and his Mug Shot move and was looking to end the contest when Primo countered with the Backstabber, a move made famous by his brother and former WWE performer Carlito. A.J rejoiced inside the ring with Primo as he looks to continue his comeback from near obscurity thanks to his involvement with NXT.
