Big Show left battered and bruised

On a special live edition of Friday Night SmackDown, The Nexus seized the opportunity to make an impact right from the off. First, they brutally beatdown Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler, and then MVP, ending their title match before it had even started. Then, The Nexus' leader Wade Barrett offered more surprises when he appeared on the arena titantron video screen. He revealed The Nexus had "assisted" Teddy Long in making two matches for the night. With Barrett standing at his side the General Manager announced it would be Big Show vs. The Nexus in a 5-on-1 Handicap Match, and John Cena vs. World Heavyweight Champion Kane.

Attack

Later in the night, the 5-on-1 advantage proved too much for Big Show to overcome. After leaving Big Show in a lifeless heap, The Nexus continued to punish their floored opponent, as Justin Gabriel hit Big Show with a series of 450 Splashes! And, just as they did at the start of the night, The Nexus intervened in the main event by attacking before a winner could be determined in the Cena vs. Kane Lumberjack Match. After focusing their assault on Cena, the arena lights were cut. Then, from out of the darkness, The Undertaker emerged. With Paul Bearer looking on, The Phenom unleashed all fury on The Big Red Monster who later vowed to get his own back this Sunday at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. Following the return of Paul Bearer last week, The Undertaker appears to be a revived character. And earlier in the night, CM Punk could not find a way to stop the hard-hitting Phenom. With The "Father of Destruction" in his corner, The Deadman took care of The Straight Edge leader with a brutal chokeslam followed by a lethal Tombstone. Rey Mysterio returned to SmackDown by charging towards the man who recently put him out of action, Alberto Del Rio. A stunned Del Rio was able to avoid the brunt of Mysterio's onslaught, but his personal ring announcer was not so lucky. Ricardo Rodriquez found himself on the receiving end of a 619.
Retaliate
WWE Champion Randy Orton and WWE Tag Team Champion "Dashing" Cody Rhodes clashed in a battle between two champions. In the end, Orton reigned supreme by dropping Rhodes with an RKO. After the match, Rhodes' fellow WWE Tag Team Champion Drew McIntyre attempted to retaliate. But he, too, was subject to an RKO. With both men down, Sheamus came charging to the ring and pump kicked Orton to the canvas. Finally, in Divas action, The Hart Dynasty's Natalya earned the victory for her team by making Maryse submit to the Sharpshooter in an Eight-Diva Tag Team Match. WWE's Hell in a Cell event is LIVE this Sunday Night at 1am exclusively on Sky Box Office.
