Kevin Bishop told Soccer AM about his 'professional' moustache and the darts film he's written!
Kevin Bishop is going into the world of movies!
As well as his relief at Wayne Rooney's U-turn, comedian Kevin Bishop also told Max and Helen about his 'professional' moustache on
Soccer AM this week.
The comedian's self-titled sketch show has been a massive success since it first aired on Channel 4 in 2007 but now United fan Bishop is moving into the world of movies!
Making his third appearance on the orange sofas, he told
Soccer AM about how he has been left with a bristly moustache while he waits for the start of filming in January.
"It's a professional moustache, not a hobby moustache," he said.
"Someone said are you doing it for Movember - but I'd never actually heard of that!
"This is actually for a film I'm supposed to be filming at the end of this month called 'A Few Best Men'. However it has been moved back until January now.
"I phoned them and said can I shave off the moustache and they said, 'well, actually we think you should just keep it so we can play with it when you get here'.
"I'm starting to wonder how long it is going to be by then!"
Unfortunately filming for the movie will postpone any potential new series of The Kevin Bishop Show - but he promised us the film would be worth it!
"It's a comedy about a guy who is an orphan and goes to Australia to marry an Australian girl. He takes his best mates with him to represent his family. I'm one of his mates and we manage to destroy the wedding.
"So there won't be any Kevin Bishop Show for the time being, but we may do another Star Stories - maybe a Wayne Rooney one!"
Bulls-eye blockbuster
Bishop also has his own film in the pipeline which, much to Helen's delight, is about darts.
"We got press passes for Lakeside to do some research and ended up getting really drunk," he said.
"However, we did find out about dartitis. Eric Bristow suffered from it. If you have dartitis you basically can't let go of the dart and it comes out to late.
"I've got pintitis - I can't let go of a pint!"
Soccer AM fans should keep an eye out for Bishop's dart film - it may feature some familiar faces...
"There will certainly be a lot of cameos - I think Helen would be perfect!"
