England have named their squad for this weekend's World Netball Series in Liverpool, as the North West once again hosts the new-look Fast Net version of the game.
The series involves the world's top six netball nations - Australia, New Zealand, England, Jamaica, Malawi and South Africa.
Since its inaugural staging in Manchester last year the World Netball Series has won a legion of fans and the rules of Fast Net, the new format of the game, have been adopted by netball players around the world. The new format is designed to provide a fast, dynamic and exciting environment for players and spectators.
England head coach Sue Hawkins said: "The squad provides an exciting blend of experience and youth and the World Netball Series gives the youngsters a great opportunity to develop their skills on the International stage alongside many of the senior athletes who won Bronze for England in the Commonwealth Games."
England head into the event buoyed by that bronze medal in Delhi. Surrey Storm Wing Attack Tamsin Greenway said: "Following our Commonwealth success I'm really excited to meet up and play with the England girls again.
High hopes
"We're heading into the World Series with high hopes of winning on home soil and we hope as many fans as possible head to Liverpool to get behind us."
Her Surrey and England teammate Rachel Dunn added: "It's great to be playing at the World Series once again, and Fast Net rules gives us all an opportunity to develop our games in different ways.
"For me, shooting outside the circle is really exciting but it obviously has its pressures in front of a big crowd."
England get their Netball World Series campaign underway against South Africa on Friday afternoon.
