Great Britain will enter a women's volleyball team in the London 2012 Olympics despite their funding being stopped.
The British Olympic Association have confirmed that they will use the 'host nation qualification places' to enter teams in both the men's and women's competitions.
Under normal circumstances, both teams might not have qualified for the Games.
The news comes as a welcome boost for the British women's team, who have launched a series of fund-raising drives to keep their hopes of a place in the Olympics alive.
They have been trying to reach a target of £250,000 to support training programmes after their funds were stopped and instead directed towards the men's indoor and women's beach volleyball teams.
The sport has had to convince the BOA that the two teams can perform to an acceptable standard and have legacy plans in place in order to be granted the spots.
"We are delighted to see that British Volleyball has put in place a plan to ensure that the men's and women's indoor teams representing Team GB are capable of delivering a credible performance in London 2012, and will utilise the unique platform of a home Games to inspire the next generation of volleyball participants," BOA chief executive Andy Hunt said.
