Mysterio and Edge enjoy tag-team victory over Del Rio and Kane
Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler managed to retain his title in a Triple Threat Match on the final SmackDown of 2010.
Vickie Guerrero kicked off this week's edition with boyfriend Ziggler at her side. The fiery consultant of SmackDown claimed to be suffering from vertigo, which she said was due to John Cena lifting her in the air last week for an Attitude Adjustment.
Much to the delight of the fans, Kofi Kingston entered the arena to silence her. Jack Swagger then came out to agree with Kingston's assessment of what transpired at TLC two weeks back when Ziggler grabbed a questionable victory.
The verbal battle soon got physical and a brawl ensued between the three, after which, Teddy Long settled matters by announcing the trio would square off in the night's main event.
Controversial
When the TLC Triple Threat rematch with Kingston and Swagger got under way, Ziggler found yet another controversial way to retain his title.
After Kingston blasted Swagger with Trouble in Paradise, the champion quickly rolled up Kofi for the pinfall.
Moments before, however, Kingston was poised to claim the title after dropping Swagger with a DDT. However, Vickie Guerrero prevented the pinfall by pulling Swagger's leg to the ropes to stop the referee's count.
In another enthralling encounter, World Heavyweight Champion Edge and fan favourite Rey Mysterio teamed up to take on Alberto Del Rio and former World Champion Kane.
The blockbuster battle saw Mysterio ultimately set-up the victory when he crushed Del Rio with a 619, after which, The Ultimate Opportunist followed up with a devastating Spear for the pinfall.
Next Friday Night on SmackDown, two massive matches are set to take place; Rey Mysterio will face Alberto Del Rio in a 2-out-of-3-Falls Match, whilst Edge will defend his World Title against Kane in a Last Man Standing Match.
