Brodus Clay produced a shocking announcement by dumping Ted DiBiase as his pro and teaming up with Alberto Del Rio. He was the victor of an elimination Fatal Four Way match in the main even on this week's episode of NXT, and was given the opportunity to choose another Pro or stick with DiBiase, a man with whom he has had an increasingly fractious relationship recently. Indeed he made an emphatic statement by telling DiBiase that he "Can't control his own girl and is the most broke Rich man he has ever met" before saying he had something he wanted to tell him and locked him in a Tongan Death Grip before delivering an STO. This season of the show has seen a lot of changes regarding the rookies and their pros, with Bryon Saxton moving to the stewardship of Dolph Ziggler and leaving Chris Masters, and now Del Rio in charge of Clay, with DiBiase exiting the competition like Del Rio had done with Conor O'Brian's elimination last week. Derrick Bateman was eliminated first in the Fatal Four Way after a hug exploder suplex from Clay. Saxton went next after a very impressive spot involving a huge double leg drop from the top rope by Johnny Curtis onto both himself and Clay. Clay then eliminated Curtis catching him in the Tongan Death Grip. Better luck earlier on for DiBiase though as he defeated Daniel Bryan in a singles match. Having lost twice to Bryan in recent times, including once for the coveted United States title, DiBiase caught Bryan in Dreamstreet and picked up an impressive victory in what seems to be his last match on NXT season 4. This week's challenge was a "Out think the Fink" competition, where the rookies had to try and out score former WWE Ring Announcer Harold Finkel in a trivia contest. None of them did so, so the contest finished without a winner. WWE SmackDown goes home into the Royal Rumble this Friday with a huge Tag Team main event, as we see the reformation of Rated RKO, Randy Orton and Edge teaming up against their respective opponents at the pay-per-view, The Miz and Dolph Ziggler. Catch it at 9pm on SKY SPORTS HD/4.
