The Rock makes his mark; Undertaker STILL undefeated
In his first ever WrestleMania main event, WWE Champion The Miz successfully defended his WWE title against John Cena.
Controversy surrounded the main event clash on Sunday night after both men catapulted one another over the barricade and onto the floor.
Upon making contact with the concrete, neither man was able to respond to the referee's 10-count which resulted in the match being announced a draw.
The outcome led to a title retention for Miz, however the anonymous Raw General Manager chimed in via email.
Keeping his hosting duties in mind, The Rock took to the podium to read the latest email from the infamous laptop, but was ultimately reluctant to relinquish control of the show.
The Great One proclaimed that it "doesn't matter" what the GM thinks, laid the smack down on the computer and ordered the match to resume. To ensure a winner, the WrestleMania host ruled that there be no count-outs and no disqualifications.
Then, The Rock delivered the most shocking conclusion to the occasion when he dashed Cena's hopes of winning the title.
Still seething following Cena's Attitude Adjustment on Raw six days earlier - Dwayne delivered a Rock Bottom on the leader of the Cenation - an act of revenge which allowed The Awesome One to capitalise and score probably the most important pinfall of his career to date.
Showdown
The King of Kings came ever so close to defeating The Phenom on The Grandest Stage of Them All, but it just wasn't to be for The Cerebral Assassin.
It truly was an epic showdown between the two, but Triple H's obsession with burying The Deadman was not to be. Just like 18 others, The Game fell to The Undertaker at WrestleMania, becoming Number 19 in the most legendary streak in all of sports-entertainment.
In what was a brutal encounter, each man refused to quit. Triple H executed a Pedigree. The Undertaker kicked out. The Deadman hit The Last Ride. The Game kicked out.
And when two straight Pedigrees failed to stop The Phenom, Triple H seemed to lose his mind. He began thinking what could he possibly do to defeat The Deadman? Frustrated, he unleashed his fury with a steel chair around his opponent's head before nailing The Undertaker with his own manoeuvre - The Tombstone.
Still, The Deadman would not stay down. When The Game grabbed his sledgehammer, it looked like the most famous streak in all of WWE was about to come to an end. But it was then The Undertaker locked in Hell's Gate.
The Game fought valiantly to escape the hold, but the sheer intensity of the manoeuvre was simply too much for him to bear. After making one final attempt to break free, Triple H finally lost his will and gave in, tapping twice on The Undertaker's thigh to signal the end.
In front of more than 70,000 ecstatic WWE fans, Edge reigned supreme when he speared his way to retaining the World Heavyweight Championship against Alberto Del Rio.
Elsewhere, Randy Orton unleashed a devastating RKO in mid-air to defeat New Nexus leader CM Punk, while Jerry "The King" Lawler was denied a famous victory by the Raw GM who, instead, awarded Michael Cole the win due to interference on behalf of special guest referee "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
