DiBiase falls foul to vicious Cobra
Santino Marella struck again with the dreaded Cobra as he defeated Ted DiBiase in an action-packed WWE Superstars this week.
The show included three high octane singles matches from both brands as it ended its run on US television network WGN.
DiBiase took the early initiative offering a handshake to Marella but following up with a stiff blow which knocked his opponent to the outside.
Marella managed to reverse Dream Street and the Cobra struck to secure the pin on DiBiase, whose recent falling out with Maryse led to her absence from ringside during the match.
Maryse has yet to answer DiBiase's ultimatum from NXT: to choose him over the show which she hosts.
Drew McIntyre began his road back to stardom with a simple victory over JTG from the SmackDown brand.
Challenge
McIntyre was not a part of Wrestlemania 27, despite impressing during the previous pay-per-view Elimination Chamber, and will be desperate to get himself back into contention on the Friday night programme.
He won the brief encounter with the Future Shock DDT.
Two others who missed out on a main spot at the show of shows battled each other in the form of Yoshi Tatsu and Tyson Kidd.
Only a couple of months ago Kidd was challenging Daniel Bryan for the United States Championship but much like DiBiase and McIntyre seem to be a little lost in the shuffle at the moment.
Tatsu took the victory with his Shining Wizard Roundhouse Kick.
While the show has been moved to the WWE website stateside, much like NXT on Tuesday nights, you can still catch WWE Superstars every Saturday morning at 9am on
Sky 1.
Also don't miss the fallout from Wrestlemania on this week's Friday Night SmackDown, on
Sky Sports HD3/3 At 10pm.
