Every year WWE inducts some if its biggest stars of yesteryear into the Hall of Fame. The likes of Ricky Steamboat, Ted DiBiase, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Eddie Guerrero and Jimmy Snuka are among the hallowed names to have been added, while in 2011 figure such as Shawn Michaels and Diva Sunny were admitted to the esteemed group. This year's Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on Saturday - the night before WrestleMania XXVIII - and you can see the highlights from the star-studded evening in a special highlights package on Sky Sports 3 HD on Monday. Superstar: Edge To be inducted by: Christian Career story: The Ultimate Opportunist was forced to retire in 2011 due to a neck injury, but left the squared circle having won a stack of accolades. The Canadian was an 11-time WWE/World Heavyweight Champion, claimed victory at the inaugural Money in the Bank ladder match and held the tag-team titles on 14 occasions, including seven spells with best friend Christian.

Superstars: The Four Horsemen To be inducted by: Dusty Rhodes Career story: One of professional wrestling's most memorable and charismatic factions, the original Four Horsemen - Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson and Barry Windham, aided by their manager, J.J. Dillon- grasped World, United States and tag-team gold during the 1980s and engaged in feuds with the likes of the Road Warriors and Lex Luger.

Superstar: Yokozuna To be inducted by: Jimmy and Jey Uso Career story: A big man with terrific agility, Yokozuna enjoyed plenty of success in the ring, winning the WWE Title twice and outlasting 29 other men to win the 1993 Royal Rumble. The California-born star, part of the venerated Anao'i wrestling dynasty, died in 2000 at the age of 34 and will be inducted posthumously in the Hall of Fame.

Superstar: Ron Simmons To be inducted by: John "Bradshaw" Layfield Career story: Simmons, the first African-American World Heavyweight Champion, was a vital component of WWE's Attitude Era, uniting with brawl-loving, beer-drinking buddy Bradshaw to win the tag-team titles on three occasions. The 53-year-old retired from the ring in 2004 but continues to make sporadic appearances on WWE programming, usually to utter his catchphrase 'Damn'.

Superstar: Mil Mascaras To be inducted by: Alberto Del Rio Career story: The first masked grappler to perform under the bright lights at Madison Square Garden, Mascaras' clashes with "Superstar" Billy Graham and Cactus Jack won him an arsenal of fans. The luchador was a master of both high-flying moves and mat-based manoeuvres and is widely regarded as one of Mexico's greatest ever wrestlers.

Superstar: Mike Tyson To be inducted by: Triple H and Shawn Michaels Career story: The five-time world heavyweight boxing champion made a big splash when he served as special guest enforcer in the WrestleMania XIV main event between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels. The pugilist appeared in the WWE again on an episode of Raw in 2010, knocking out Chris Jericho with one of his trademark punches. Click here to find out more about booking WrestleMania XXVIII.
