WWE Smackdown report: Randy Orton pulverises RVD but flees from Roman Reigns
Chair shots and a Superman punch force Viper to skedaddle...

Roman Reigns has not so much rekindled a fire in Randy Orton but launched a raging inferno.
Reigns defeated Orton at SummerSlam after connecting with a thunderous Spear, but The Viper has refused to take that loss quietly and showed how pumped up he is on Smackdown.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion grabbed the microphone during the blue brand’s opening moments, vowing to gain retribution on Reigns for his clobbering in Los Angeles.
Orton’s first port of call, though, was to make Rob Van Dam “collateral damage” and the St Louis grappler did just that, pummelling the onetime ECW star backstage and in the arena before administering an RKO onto a steel chair.
The steel chair, however, came back to haunt Orton later on.
Whack
The Viper tried to punish Reigns with the weapon following The Juggernaut’s win over The Miz, but the ex-Shield man wrestled the metal from Orton, whacked him with it, and delivered a Superman punch, too.
The Viper ultimately managed to slither away but this beef is far from over…
Elsewhere, Jack Swagger was felled by Seth Rollins’ Curb Stomp and lost to The Architect via count-out – before being told by Bo Dallas that he had let America down when he was bested by Rusev at Sunday night's SummerSlam pay-per-view.
Rusev, on the other hand, made light work of Sin Cara but scarpered when Mark Henry appeared spoiling for a fight; while Paige was conquered by Natalya following a distraction from nemesis AJ Lee.
Plus, Stardust and Goldust overcame Luke Harper and Erick Rowan – but probably wished they hadn’t when the Wyatt Family brawlers hit them with a vicious post-match attack.
