Alberto batters Cena and Punk; Triple H faces criticism

The Sprint Center in Kansas City hosted the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, which culminated with a taster of what is set to come this Sunday Night at WWE Hell in a Cell. This week's main event saw CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio going head-to-head as WWE Champion John Cena looked on from the announce desk. The Voice of the Voiceless might have sealed a pinfall victory, gaining some much-needed momentum, but it was Alberto Del Rio who had the last laugh. After the match the cell itself, which had been hanging above the arena for the duration of the night, was lowered upon Cena, Del Rio, Punk and The Mexican Aristocrat's intervening ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez. Punk and Cena pummelled Rodriguez with the GTS and the Attitude Adjustment respectively, then turned their attention on one another - unwittingly giving Del Rio an opportunity to strike. Battering both Superstars with a steel chair, Del Rio stood proudly in the ring, giving his Hell in a Cell competitors a taste of things to come just days before the three meet again inside the vile structure. Explaining the firing of The Miz and R-Truth one week earlier, Triple H continued to lay down the law when he fined World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry for putting his hands on Jim Ross and sending Jerry "The King" Lawler through an announce table.

Mistreatment

As The Game restored order, he was confronted by a number of WWE Superstars, all of whom had their own case of mistreatment or in-justice. First up, Triple H responded to Christian's persistent calls for "one more match". Per instruction of the WWE COO, the disgruntled Superstar would face Cena later in the night, Randy Orton this Friday on SmackDown and Sheamus this Sunday at Hell in a Cell! As for Dolph Ziggler, he was forced to defend his US title against the very Superstar that defeated him one week earlier - internet sensation Zack Ryder. Finally, Triple H passed judgement on Cody Rhodes, who would immediately be forced to defend his Intercontinental Title in a 10-Man Battle Royal! Rhodes' disrespect toward The Game almost cost him the Intercontinental Championship. After outlasting eight WWE Superstars, the twisted and bitter Rhodes found himself face-to-face with Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior appeared favourite to add the Intercontinental Title to his impressive list of accolades, but Christian interfered in the match, distracting his Hell in a Cell opponent and allowing Rhodes to send The Irishman over the top rope with the aid of his protective mask. Later in the night, The All-American American Jack Swagger assisted Dolph Ziggler in retaining his United States Championship over The Long Island Iced Z, Zack Ryder.
