Great Britain's Lizzy Yarnold was edged out into fourth place at the finale of the IBSF World Cup in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

The 28-year-old Olympic champion was overtaken by Kimberly Bos as the Dutchwoman secured a first podium finish for Holland in the skeleton with a total time of one minute and 46.03 seconds - just 0.04 seconds ahead of Yarnold.

Gold went to world and European champion Jacqueline Lolling of Germany, who clocked 1min 45.68seconds - which included the first Olympic track record of 52.75secs - to secure victory ahead of Russian Elena Nikitina, who was 0.30secs adrift.

Yarnold's Great Britain team-mate Laura Deas finished in ninth place with a time of 1min 46.56secs.

In the men's event, Britain's Dominic Parsons was 13th and Jack Thomas finished 20th as victory went to Martins Dukurs of Latvia, with his brother Tomass in third.

Lolling's triumph saw her claim the overall World Cup title for the first time with 1591 points, ahead of fellow German Tina Hermann (1493) and Canada's Mirela Rahneva (1475).

Yarnold - who had opted to miss last season in the wake of her triumph in Sochi and did not race in the last round at Igls - placed ninth overall, with Deas in sixth.
