Scot grateful that O'Sullivan is absent

Marcus Campbell is in line for a £22,000 bonus after making a maximum 147 break in his wildcard win at the Bahrain Snooker Championship. The 36-year-old Scot beat Omani player Ahmed Basheer Al-Khusaib 5-0 and will meet Australian Neil Robertson in the last 32 of the tournament on Monday. The world number 42 was confident of clearing up after potting his first ball. He said: "I knew I was on for one after the very first red because the balls were absolutely perfect. "I am very chuffed and I can't believe it. It was very good and I enjoyed it." Campbell will take the full bonus of £22,000 if no other player makes a maximum during the tournament, or share the prize if there is another 147. And he is grateful that maximum king Ronnie O'Sullivan is absent this week. "Thank God, Ronnie isn't here," joked Campbell. "He would have probably made one and taken half of it."
