John Cena did not pull any punches regarding The Undertaker's potential comeback

John Cena did not hold back in his verbal assault of The Undertaker during a heated promo on this week's WWE Raw.

In fact, this was not just a verbal assault. It was a verbal annihilation. It was the verbal equivalent, perhaps, of an Attitude Adjustment from Cena. Onto the steel steps.

The 16-time world heavyweight champion Cena has become increasingly desperate for a place at the biggest show of the year in recent weeks.

WWE Late Night Raw

The most famous son of West Newbury, Massachusetts, has been bouncing between Raw and SmackDown throughout 2018 in a WrestleMania bid which has grown in its frenzy with every week.

First he came up short at Royal Rumble. Then he lost at Elimination Chamber. And on Sunday night, his bid to hijack the dream match between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura fell short at Fastlane.

With his options running out, Cena again turned to The Phenom.

Undertaker hasn't competed since his loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 and has shown no intention of ending that hiatus - at least, not in public.

But as Cena said on Raw this week, "you're not too broken down to compete; if you were you wouldn't be uploading workout videos on your wife's Instagram."

That was tame compared to what else he had to say about one of the true legends of WWE. Click on our video above to hear the impassioned promo in full...
