Chris Jericho failed to become United States Champion on Monday Night Raw as his friendship with Kevin Owens continued to unravel.

Jericho battled Roman Reigns at the University of Texas looking to claim one of the few belts he has yet to win during a glittering WWE career.

However, Y2J and Owens began to bicker after Reigns shrugged off a Codebreaker, leading to The Big Dog nailing Jericho with a spear at the second time of asking to retain his strap.

Owens, whose bromance with Jericho began to break down last week when he disrespected the veteran's list, was able to win on Raw, though, pinning Sami Zayn following a Pop-Up Powerbomb.

The Prizefighter, who withstood myriad suplexes from Zayn, had earlier been nailed with a Pedigree by Seth Rollins after The Architect's count-out victory over a returning Big Show.
