Shinsuke Nakamura remains NXT Champion after beating rival Samoa Joe in a Steel Cage Match on the brand’s tour of Australia.

Nakamura claimed the title for the second time in his homeland of Japan on December 3 with a Kinshasa kick and that move helped him down Joe again in Melbourne.

The King of Strong Style had the option to walk out of the ring after nailing a first Kinshasa from the top rope but chose to clobber The Submission Specialist with the kick again to win via pinfall.

Nakamura is now scheduled to defend the belt at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio on January 28, a night before WWE's main-roster stars compete in the 2017 Royal Rumble.

Bobby Roode, Andrade "Cien" Almas, Roderick Strong and Tye Dillinger will face off in a Fatal Four-Way next week for the right to challenge Nakamura after winning qualifying bouts on Wednesday.

Roode knocked off Oney Lorcan with a DDT, while a similar move allowed Almas to beat No Way Jose, plus Strong beat Elias Samson with a gut-buster and a running boot.
