NXT Champion Bobby Roode defended his title against the highly acclaimed Kassius Ohno in a high-quality showdown.

In his first match back inside NXT's squared circle, Ohno did not disappoint and came so close to becoming new champion, but the wily titleholder nailed him with a Glorious DDT for the victory.

Roode now has another massive challenge ahead of him as he will defend the NXT Championship in a rematch against Shinsuke Nakamura at TakeOver: Orlando.

The Ealy Brothers, Gabriel and Uriel, were out for retribution against NXT Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain.

But Akam and Rezar soon gained control and finished off their opponents after delivering the Super Collider, followed by the Last Chapter for an emphatic victory.

After the match, general manager William Regal announced a Triple Threat Tag Team Elimination Match for the NXT Tag Team Titles between the champions and their two rival duos - The Revival and #DIY at TakeOver: Orlando.

NXT newcomer Macey Estrella was handed a harsh lesson against Nikki Cross.
