Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens will compete for their careers at Clash of Champions in a match booked on this week's SmackDown.

The duo will take on Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura at the pay-per-view in Boston with the stipulation that they must leave WWE if they are defeated.

Zayn and Owens will be fired from WWE if they lose to Orton and Nakamura in Boston on December 17

Shane McMahon, who confirmed the match on Tuesday night's episode, will be the special guest referee for the contest.

Orton struck a psychological blow ahead of that match with a victory in singles competition over Zayn in a match which saw Owens handcuffed to the rope at ringside.

Owens cut himself free but Orton was able to withstand the double assault and picked up the win after reversing Zayn's Helluva Kick into a roll-up for the three count.

The duo then jumped the Viper after the match before Nakamura burst into the ring and levelled Owens with a brutal Kinshasa knee strike.

Twist to tag-team title match

Rusev and Aiden English celebrated a glorious Rusev Day with a victory over the New Day duo of Kofi Kingston and Big E which saw them inserted into the Clash of Champions title match.

Kingston seemed to have Rusev beaten but broke off from his assault to attack English, and the Bulgarian Brute capitalised with a huge kick to seal the victory.

All of which means the tag title match in Boston will now be a fatal four-way, with these two teams battling The Usos and Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin.

The entire SmackDown women's division will be at ringside for the women's title match at Clash of Champions.

Women's match gets new stipulation

SmackDown general manager Daniel Bryan confirmed the women's title match between Charlotte Flair and Natalya at Clash of Champions will see the Riott Squad, Carmella, Tamina and Lana act as lumberjacks outside the ring.

Bryan confirmed the news prior to the evening's match between Flair and Tamina, which saw the champion prevail with a her figure-eight leglock.

But after the match, the six lumberjacks had to be separated as tensions continue to raise ahead of the December 17 event.
