Kane made a dramatic return to SmackDown last night as he was reunited with Team Hell No partner Daniel Bryan.

Bryan was on the verge of a savage two-on-one beating at the hands of the Bludgeon Brothers after his singles match against Luke Harper had descended into typical chaos.

But everything changed as the arena was bathed in red light and Kane arrived to save Bryan from the attack.

Having vanquished the tag team champions, Team Hell No then shared a hug before receiving some huge news from SmackDown general manager Paige - that they will be facing Harper and Erick Rowan for the titles at Extreme Rules.

Usos hand Sanity first main roster loss

With Shinsuke Nakamura unable to compete in his United States title match against Jeff Hardy due to injury, an open challenge was issued - and accepted by Sanity's Eric Young.

Hardy and Young went back and forth in an aggressive contest with Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe a constant ringside threat, at least until the odds were evened by the arrival of The Usos.

That led to a six-man tag-team match involved both groups and things did not turn out as planned for Sanity, with Alexander Wolfe succumbing to a Hardy swanton bomb for their first loss on the main roster.

But things went horribly wrong for him on last night's SmackDown, with general manager Paige confirming Asuka will get a second crack at the gold at Extreme Rules.

And there was more bad news for Ellsworth - he himself will be facing Asuka in singles action next week.
