Kyrie Irving poured in a season-high 43 points to lift the Boston Celtics to a 123-116 overtime win over the Toronto Raptors.
Irving's 43-point haul came in 38 minutes on 18-of-26 shooting, including 4-of-6 from beyond the three-point arc. He scored four points in the extra session to help the Celtics seal their victory.
Irving opened his account with two towering first-quarter three-pointers before adding a fadeaway jumper and an acrobatic lay-up for good measure. A no-look pass to Al Horford earned him one of his 11 assists.
He was equally ruthless in the second half, draining fallaway jumpers and another three before producing a strong finish at the rim in traffic. A left-handed floater took him to 37 points before he connected with a right-handed lay-up to help send the game into an extra period.
In overtime, he gathered a loose ball and skipped to the basket with a 'shake and bake' move before rolling the ball home off the glass. One final pull-up jump shot with 1:42 remaining extended the Celtics' lead to seven points, effectively icing the game.
