Oklahoma City Thunder guard Hamidou Diallo has been diagnosed with a sprained ankle.
The 20-year-old is set to be re-evaluated in seven to 10 days, the club have announced.
Diallo left the Thunder's 123-95 victory against the Golden State Warriors on a stretcher on Wednesday evening, with initial fears of a long-term injury.
Postgame X-rays were negative and ruled out a serious leg injury, despite Diallo's team-mates having to calm him down before his exit from the court.
In 17 minutes of action on Wednesday, Diallo scored three points on 1-of-6 shooting and grabbed six rebounds.
A second-round pick in this year's draft out of Kentucky, Diallo is averaging 6.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in 16 games.
