James Harden produced a 50-point triple-double for the fourth time in his career to lead the the Houston Rockets to victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Harden supplied 50 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds to propel the Rockets to a 126-111 victory at the Toyota Center, becoming the only player to notch four career 50+ point triple-doubles in NBA history.
Houston's franchise star connected on 14 of his 26 shots (including 4-of-12 from three-point land) and drained 18 of his 19 free throw shots.
Harden's highlight plays were frequent as he torched Lonzo Ball off the dribble before elevating for a monster left-handed jam on Lakers center JaVale McGee. He followed that with a deep three-pointer from way downtown over Josh Hart, who fouled the Rockets' star to concede an 'And 1' four-point play.
'The Beard' then showed off his distribution skills, lofting a pass to team-mate Clint Capela for an alley-oop slam then finding the Rockets center again on a give-and-go play for an easy deuce.
Harden went on to tease LeBron James, nailing two step-back threes over the Lakers star. He reached 50 points with a trademark floater in the lane and a baseline jumper to seal as the Rockets cruised to a 15-point victory.
