Orlando Magic rookie center Mohamed Bamba is sidelined with a stress fracture in his left tibia, the team announced on Tuesday.

"Thankfully we caught this early and are able to treat Mo without surgery," Magic team president Jeff Weltman said in a team-released statement. "His return to action will depend on how he responds to treatment."

Bamba, 20, has played in 47 games (one start). He is averaging 6.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, and has blocked 64 shots.

Paul George scored 39 points, and Russell Westbrook's triple-double streak continued as the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Orlando Magic 132-122 at home on Tuesday night.

The Thunder took control of the game with a 36-point third quarter, then held on late to win for the eighth time in the last nine games.

Orlando's two-game winning streak was snapped, and the Magic have lost eight of their last 11 games.
