Chris Paul hit a stunning 60-foot buzzer beater during the Houston Rockets emphatic victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night.
The Rockets produced a hugely encouraging display to rout the in-form Clippers 135-103, in what could be a first round playoff matchup.
Houston's big three of James Harden, Paul and Clint Capela all delivered big numbers, but it was the veteran point guard who made the play of the night.
With the clock winding down in the third quarter, he received an inbound pass deep in his own half, before heaving a shot towards the rim, which found the basket via the backboard.
Harden scored 31 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out seven assists, Paul added 29 points and seven assists and Capela had 24 points and 15 rebounds as the trio combined in a way they have rarely done so this season.
Houston remained a half-game ahead of Portland, who also won on Wednesday, for third place in the Western Conference. With the loss, the Clippers fell 1.5 games behind Utah, a winner earlier in the evening, in the race for the fifth seed.
