Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 45 points in a dominant performance to guide the Milwaukee Bucks to a statement victory against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night.
The MVP contender produced one of his finest displays of the season to help the Bucks earn a victory that clinched the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
Antetokounmpo had 13 rebounds, six assists to go along with his points haul, but equally impressive was his work on the defensive end.
The 'Greek Freak' made five blocks, four of which were on Sixers center Joel Embiid, the self-proclaimed most "unstoppable" player in the NBA.
The victory ensured the Bucks (59-20) will hold the No 1 seed in the East for the first time in franchise history. They were top seed in the Western Conference three times in their first six years of existence, the last in the 1973-74 season.
Antetokounmpo showed no signs of the ankle strain that has troubled him recently, but the victory may give the Bucks the opportunity to rest their star man over the final three games of the regular season.
