Golden State Warriors backcourt stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are questionable for Sunday's Western Conference semifinals opener against the Houston Rockets due to injured right ankles.
Both players were hurt during Friday's series-clinching win in Game 6 of their opening round series against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Having been unexpectedly pushed to six games by the Clippers, the Warriors have been left with minimal recovery time ahead of their series with the Rockets, who beat the Utah Jazz in five games.
"We'll see how they're doing," Golden State coach Steve Kerr said on Saturday.
"I'm not going to make a definitive statement on whether they'll both play - let's just call it questionable.
"And there's nothing implied there; they both came in today and got some work and we'll see how they're doing."
Curry's injury came late in the first quarter and he was seen limping after the contest. Thompson was hurt in the third quarter and his injury initially concerned Kerr.
"It was a significant sprain," Kerr said of Thompson. "He was limping last night. So as I said, we'll see how he's doing (Sunday)."
Despite the short turnaround for the Rockets' series, Kerr said he isn't concerned about this team's energy level.
"I think they're more energised that we're here," Kerr said.
"I think we are happy to get past the Clippers, they were fantastic. They prepared us well for this series. I'm not worried about the energy because here we are, it's the playoffs and no matter what we do at max, there's six weeks left in the season. At minimum, there's a couple weeks, so we're near the finish line.
"So our guys are going to have plenty of motivation, plenty of energy. I'm more worried about the nagging injuries right now from (Friday) night, so we'll see what happens."
The Warriors host the Houston Rockets in Game 1 on the Western Conference semi-finals, live on skysports.com, Sky Sports mobile app, Sky Sports' YouTube channel and Sky Sports Arena on Sunday at 8:30pm (UK time).
