Nik Stauskas is signing a two-year deal with the Boston Celtics after putting up 100 points in just two G League games, according to reports
The shooting guard, who scored 57 and 43 points in consecutive games for the Grand Rapids Gold, is joining the Celtics on a deal which goes through the rest of this season and the 2022-23 season, the report claims.
ESPN reported the news soon after the Boston Celtics' 120-107 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies last night. Stauskas' agents Mark Bartelstein and Andy Shiffman were the conduits for the news, according to the report.

The Celtics currently have Jaylen Brown and Aaron Nesmith out with injuries so 28-year-old Stauskas will provide depth on the wing for one of the league's most in-form teams. They've won eight of their last nine games and are now just 4.5 games behind the Miami Heat at the top of the Eastern Conference standings.
Boston is the latest stop for Stauskas on a journeyman career. After being taken eighth overall in the 2014 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings, the Canadian has also had stops with the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, Portland Trail Blazers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami, where he had a 10-day contract with the Heat this season before returning to Grand Rapids.
